Online ticket purchases

Tickets may not be exchanged or refunded once the booking is confirmed.

    You can either print your pre-booked tickets by:-

    • Printing at home and on your printer and bringing the printed copy in to the cinema to be scanned at the ticket control point

    • Print them off at the automated ticket machines by use of the card you used to book, or the unique booking number as means of authentication

    • Providing your reference number at any customer service point and tickets will be printed for you

    • Showing the ticket barcode on your smartphone at the ticket check point

    We reserve the right to refuse admission or request a guest to leave at any time for any reason. The duty managers decision in these cases is final.

    If a concessionary ticket (student, child, senior, forces) is purchased, you will be asked for ID when you arrive at the cinema.

    BBFC age ratings much be adhered to when purchasing online tickets.

Social Media Competitions

  • These terms and conditions apply to the series of prize draws we run on our social media channels ("Prize Draws") unless otherwise stated in the promotion.
  • When entering a Prize Draw through Facebook, Twitter or another social media provider, please note that the Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, that social media provider.
  • Entrants to a Prize Draw must be aged 16 or over unless otherwise specified and resident in the UK. If the promotion or competition is being run through Twitter or Facebook, all Entrants must be following the specified channel- on Twitter and facebook.com
  • An Entry has to comply with what is asked for by Light Cinemas in the competition post for the Prize Draw. For example you might have to answer a simple question or simply reply to Light Cinemas with a keyword. The exact instructions for an Entry will be explained in the competition post.
  • The prize will be described in the competition post.
  • The dates of each prize draw including the Closing Date and the Draw Date will be set out in the competition post.
  • The following persons may not enter the Prize Draw: employees of Light Cinemas, or any of their families, agents or anyone else connected with the Prize Draw. No third party entries, bulk entries will be accepted.
  • The winner(s) will be selected at random and under independent supervision from all eligible entries received. Each winner will be notified by Light Cinemas via the method stated in the competition post.
  • Further terms and conditions may apply and all terms and conditions are non-exhaustive or exclusive. You must collect your prize within 90 days unless stated otherwise.
  • In the event of dispute Light Cinemas' management have the final decision

Standard terms for cinema promotions

These are the standard terms and conditions set out by Light Cinemas for any promotion that is being run within the cinema.

  • One voucher per person per visit
  • Purchase of cinema ticket is required unless otherwise stated
  • Not valid with any other offer
  • No cash value
  • Not exchangeable or refundable if a voucher promotion
  • Photocopied or damaged vouchers not allowed
  • Manager's decision is final
  • The Light Cinema reserves the right to change these conditions at any time.
  • Additional T's & C's may apply for a member's promotion/competition

Members promotions

These are the terms and conditions set out by Light Cinemas for the members promotions and competitions. These are not exhaustive and may be altered at any time without notice.

  • All offers are subject to change at any time
  • To collect card, suitable ID must be presented to confirm identity
  • Cinema entry subject to normal film classification standards.
  • Cinemas in the promotion reserve the right to refuse admission to any card holder or their guest.
  • All offers excludes VIP screens and alternative content such as opera, theatre or concerts.
  • Light Cinemas retain the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time.
  • In event of any dispute in regard to any of the conditions associated with the promotion the managers decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into

MyLight Membership

  • Application for MyLight is completed online via the website.
  • Certain information such as name, email address and postcode is required for Light Cinemas to process the application.
  • Light Cinemas reserves the right to cancel or amend the MyLight scheme at any time without notice.
  • You must be logged into MyLight to receive any of the MyLight offers.
  • Being a member of MyLight does not give you any favourable treatment in terms of availability of tickets. All are on first come first served basis.
  • By purchasing tickets online, you are entering an agreement with Light Cinemas. By doing so you have agreed to abide by these terms and conditions
  • Tickets are sold at the price displayed during the ordering process. All prices and fees include any applicable Value Added Tax.
  • Payment can be made by any method specified in the order process. Light Cinemas will deduct your payment from your card at the time it processes your Credit/Debit/Stored Value card transaction
  • On completion of your booking you will see a confirmation page displayed in your browser. You will also receive an email confirmation. It is advised that you print a copy of the confirmation page and/or confirmation email for your records.
  • MyLight offers and pricing cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
  • If you are a student, Senior Citizen, Forces or CEA card holder, you can still benefit from your discounted price, but you must bring your proof of student identity to the cinema when you collect your tickets.
  • CUSTOMERS WILL NEED TO USE THE BOOKING REFERENCE
    NUMBER OR PRESENT THE CARD WITH WHICH THE PURCHASE WAS MADE, TO COLLECT TICKETS. 
    Tickets can be collected from the counter in your chosen cinema or from the automatic ticket machines (ATMs). Alternatively you can print the ticket at home or show the barcode on your smart phone to gain entry.
  • Unless otherwise stated, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded once purchased.
  • Purchase of 3D glasses is required for any 3D presentation

Online gift vouchers

  • A unique barcode is generated on purchase. This must be shown at any point of sale for use. If using online the full serial number must be entered
  • Sale is dependent on availability
  • The Voucher can be used at any Light Cinema in the UK only
  • It cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash
  • If you do not spend the entire balance on the gift card / e-gift card, the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction.
  • It cannot be used to purchase another gift card or infinity membership
  • The code will not be replaced if lost, stolen or used without your permission
  • The voucher does not give preferential treatment over any other light cinema guests
  • All credit must be used within 24 months of activation or it will be cancelled
  • The minimum amount to be placed on this voucher is £5, the maximum is £150 at any one time
  • Light Cinemas reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time and without prior notice
